Go-Pro with PADI on Koh Tao!

Koh Tao certifies thousands of new dive professionals every year, whether it’s Divemasters, Instructors or even cross-overs for dive professionals to new organizations.   Why do so many  people choose this path on Koh Tao? Sure maybe it is one of the cheapest places in the world to do these courses, however I believe that there is more to it than this.

Koh Tao has such a huge amount of dive schools catering to different languages, different business ideologies and teaching ideologies.   We have huge centers certifying hundreds of divers a week, and we have small centers certifying only one or two – we also have all the sizes in-between! All of these dive centers are likely to offer the Divemaster course, the first step into professional diving – and all of these centers will offer the course in a different way.  Maybe some centers have 40+ Divemaster Candidates whilst others will only have 1 or 2 at a time, which one would suit you is something only you can decide!

Whilst PADI have Performance Requirements for every Instructor and Center to follow when it comes to the PADI Divemaster course, many centers will still add extras to this to make a confident and competent Divemaster once they have completed the course.   Some centers may also offer things such as free fun dives, or discounts on dive equipment as they can order at wholesale prices – all of these things are to be considered when you choose a place to complete your divemaster course.

In the end of the day though, all of these centers are situated on Koh Tao, one of the most beautiful islands I have ever lived on, and with some of the best diving environments for learning how to dive – you would never forgot or regret the decision to Go-Pro with PADI on Koh Tao!
