PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
OK, so you’re certified, but now what?
The PADI Advanced Open Water qualification is designed to allow you to explore further into the aquatic realm, and discover exciting new underwater activities and experiences. You can take this course directly after acquiring your Open Water license, and it only takes two days to complete. The advanced programme includes five adventure dives, all designed to increase your confidence and build on your existing scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. What’s more, each of these adventures counts as the first dive of each corresponding PADI Specialty Diver course, so if you find something you have a particular passion for, you can take the whole specialty right away simply by completing the necessary additional dives and knowledge development sections.

Wherever you are & any time you feel like before your arrival:
- You can watch all introduction and safety videos online, so this is out of the way and you are ready to dive
- Print & answer the 5 Adventure Dives knowledge reviews (Deep + Navigation dives are a requirement for this course)

18:00: 5th Night Adventure Dive (this can take place on the evening of day 1 if you would prefer).
During the Advanced Open Water course you’ll hone your skills by completing five adventure dives:
Deep Adventure Dive:
Or as they say in Thailand, same same but deeper! This adventure dive takes you to greater depths than your open water – typically anything from 18-30 metres. There’s something exciting and mysterious about that the opportunity to explore the deep. It’s exhilarating. If you want to learn more about deep diving, and be able to go as deep as 40 metres, then the Deep Specialty Diver course is for you.

Underwater Navigator Adventure Dive:
So far your instructor has done an amazing job of guiding you around our pristine dive sites. Now it’s your turn to have a go! You will learn how to measure time and distance on your underwater swims, and also perfect your compass skills, as well as discovering how to use natural features and underwater topography to find your way around a dive site.

AWARE Fish Identification Adventure Dive:
Project AWARE (Aquatic World Awareness, Responsibility and Education) was set up by PADI to educate divers on the need for increased environmental awareness and conservation. In this dive you will learn how to observe, identify and classify a variety of marine life in a passive and sustainable way.

Digital Underwater Photography Adventure Dive*:
The perfect way to take home some tangible memories of your dive trip! Underwater photography is one of the most popular adventure dives, and the rise of digital underwater photography has made it easier and more fun than ever. In this dive your instructor will teach you
